How do I report on Application data?

Application data can be generated from the following locations:

  1. Application dashboard
  2. Report dashboard

Application dashboard

Admins can generate custom reports of application data from any of the following views:

  • Traveler Applications
  • Application Content

Within the Traveler applications view, both custom & standard reports can be generated, although it is highly recommended to use custom reports. Within the application content view, only custom reports can be generated.

  • Travelers Application view will generate a report of one row per Traveler application.
  • Application Content view will generate a report by selected application template of one row per traveler. This report includes all content from the selected application template, including Traveler responses. 

Custom reports

Admins can generate custom reports by adding or removing columns, sorting, and applying desired filters. All data visible on the screen will be downloaded onto one CSV. Click here to read more about custom reports.

To generate a custom report…

  1. Click Applications in the main navigation menu
  2. Head to the desired view in the sub navigation menu (Traveler Applications or Application Content)
  3. Search, sort, and/or filter for the desired content
  4. Hide or show desired columns by clicking the three vertical line icon in the top right corner of your table and selecting/de-selecting data
  5. Click the cloud icon with the downward arrow to download a CSV of all data visible on your screen

Report dashboard

From the applications view, admins can generate custom reports of application data. Admins can create custom reports by altering what’s visible on their screen by adding or removing columns, sorting, and applying desired filters. All data visible on the screen will be downloaded onto one CSV. 

To generate a custom report…

  1. Click Reports in the main navigation menu
  2. Click APPLICATIONS in the sub navigation menu
  3. Search, sort, and/or filter for the desired content
  4. Click the cloud icon with the downward arrow to download a CSV of all data visible on your screen

It is highly recommended that you use custom reports from either the Application Dashboard or Reports Dashboard for the most intuitive, flexible, customizable reporting.

Standard reports

The data generated on standard report templates is pulled directly from traveler applications and cannot be customized. There are 7 standard report templates that generate application data:

  1. Application Status
  2. Application Content by Program Name and Term
  3. Application Content by App Template
  4. Application Alternates
  5. Participation 
  6. Application Counting
  7. Deferred/Withdrawn Applications

Depending on the report template, data will be exported on either one CSV file or a zip file containing one or more CSV files. Keep in mind that only Travelers who have applications will appear in the relevant CSV or zip file.

To generate a standard report…

  1. Click Applications in the main navigation menu
  2. Click Application Dashboard from the drop down menu
  3. You will land on the Traveler Applications view
  4. Search, sort, and/or filter for the desired content
  5. Click GENERATE REPORT
  6. Click SELECT DESIRED REPORT TYPE
  7. Type the name of or select the desired report template 
  8. Depending on the report template, click DOWNLOAD AS ZIP or DOWNLOAD AS CSV
  9. Open the downloaded zip file or CSV
