Group Plans are created to track travel for people traveling together. Once created, admins with permission can add travelers to the plan, create itinerary details and add those details to travelers and can manage the plan through filtering and reporting.
There are two ways for administrators to create group plans...
- Navigating to Via Travel's Plans view and click on + Create Group Plan.
- This option is available for Partners that have purchased Via Travel. Administrators with permission can easily create an Group Travel Plan manually clicking + Create Group Plan.
- Creating Group Travel Plans in batch from Internal Terms or Authorized Terms data.
- This option is available to Partners that have purchased both Via Global and Via Travel. Administrators with permission can create travel plans in Via Global using our batch functionality within the Internal Terms and Authorized Terms views. To learn more, click here.
For partners subscribed to Via Travel and Via Global, administrators with permission can create travel plans manually or create them from program terms using batch action. To learn more about creating Group Travel Plans using our batch functionality, click here.
When associating a plan with a program in Via Global, any traveler with a committed application will be automatically added to the plan and are marked as 'Going' on the travel roster. To learn more about associating a plan with a program, click here.
To create a Group Plan…
- Click Via Travel in the main navigation menu
- You will land on the Plans view
- Click + Create Group Plan
- At a minimum, fill out all required fields
- Click Save Group Plan
Group Plans (even Public Plans) can only be accessed and joined by Travelers logged in to your Via account.
