As a Group Leader, how do I create a Group Itinerary?
As a Group Leader, you can create the group itinerary by adding Transportation, Housing, and Activity details. These details can be added to all Travelers marked as "Going" on the Group Plan, or they can be added individually from the table view on the Who's Going tab.
After they have been created, these details can be viewed by date or detail type on the Group Itinerary tab.
To build the group itinerary…
- Log in to Via
- Click My Travel > My Plans in the navigation menu
- You will land on the My Travel Plans view
- Click on the plan tile for the desired Travel Plan
- Click on the Group Itinerary tab
- Click Build Group Itinerary
- Click + Add Detail
- Select the detail type: Transportation, Housing, or Activity
- Click Continue
- At a minimum, fill out all required fields
- If you want Via to automatically add the detail to all Travelers now and in the future, click on the checkbox next to Add this detail to all Travelers added to this Group Plan, now and in the future
- Click Add
When adding details to an itinerary, Group Leaders will have the option to 'Add this detail to all Travelers added to this Group Plan, now and in the future'. If checked, that detail will be automatically added to any Traveler that joins or is added to the Group Plan.
The option to select to Add this detail to all Travelers added to this Group Plan, now and in the future is available upon creation of the detail only. The option to check the box is not available when editing the detail.
All details can be removed from Travelers at any time.
