How do I generate a standard report on Application data?

Admins in Via can generate standard reports of application data. These standard reports can be accessed from the Traveler Applications dashboard and also from Reports > Applications.

When uploading your CSV to Google Sheets or Mac Numbers, the formatting for dates will be displayed as YYYY-MM-DD


When uploading your CSV to Excel (Microsoft 365), the formatting for dates will be displayed as DD-MM-YYYY. To convert the format to YYYY-MM-DD, please see this official Microsoft article

 

The available Application standard reports are:

  • Traveler Information: All Traveler profile data
  • Application Counting: Summary of all program terms, including the number of applications in each stage of the process
  • Application Alternates: A list of Traveler applications, indicating the number of alternates selected and the program/terms selected as alternates
  • Application Content by Program Name and Term: A zip file containing one CSV per program term. CSV's contain approx. 20 standard columns as well as one column per field or question on the application template
  • Application Content by Application Template: A zip file containing one CSV per application template. CSV's contain approx. 20 standard columns as well as one column per field or question on the application template
  • Participation: Summary of traveler profile and application data of Committed applications for record-keeping or OpenDoors® reporting

If selecting Application Content by Application Template, Via will export a zip file of as many CSVs as there are application templates in your selection - one CSV per application template.

If selecting Application Content by Program Name and Term, Via will export a zip file of as many CSVs as there are program terms in your selection - one CSV per program term.

 

To generate a standard report from the Applications Dashboard…

  1. Click Applications in the main navigation menu
  2. In the Traveler Applications view, check the box to the left of the desired applications/s to select application/s to report on
  3. Click Actions
  4. Select Standard Reports from the dropdown menu
  5. Select the desired report
  6. Rename the report, if desired
  7. Click Create Standard Report
  8. Click on View Downloads in the green pop-up in the lower right corner of Via
  9. Click the name of your Standard Report (or the download icon in the Actions Column)
  10. Open the downloaded zip file or CSV

 

To generate a standard report from Reports > Applications…

  1. Click Reports in the main navigation menu
  2. Click Applications
  3. Check the box to the left of the desired application/s to select application/s to report on
  4. Click Actions
  5. Select Standard Reports from the dropdown menu
  6. Select the desired report
  7. Rename the report, if desired
  8. Click Create Standard Report
  9. Click on View Downloads in the green pop-up in the lower right corner of Via
  10. Click the name of your Standard Report (or the download icon in the Actions Column)
  11. Open the downloaded zip file or CSV
