Triggers
A Trigger is what sets an Automation in motion, often referred to as the 'big bang' of an Automation. In the list below, you'll see the possible triggers available for Plan Automations.
Available Triggers
- Plan [is] Created, Cancelled, Reinstated, Edited
- Itinerary Item [Is] Created, Edited, Removed
- Plan Status [Changes To] Registered, Pending Approval, Approved, Not Approved
- Traveler [Is Added To / Joins] or [Leaves] Group Plan
Condition
A Condition is a circumstance that must be true in order for an Automation to run. Conditions allow admins to create Automations with precision, with the goal of targeting a specific circumstance relating to a plan or traveler within it. Conditions in Via are optional and not required for an automation to happen. If no condition is saved, Via will use the selected trigger as the only requirement to run the Automation.

- Plan Status [Is] Registered, Pending Approval, Approved, Not Approved
- Travel Type [Is] Group Plan, Solo Plan
- Plan Country [Is] or [Is Not] desired country(ies)*
- Traveler Status [Is] Going, Not Going
- Financial Aid (Profile) [Is] or [Is Not] Yes, No, I'm not sure, I prefer not to answer
- Passport Status (Profile) [Is] or [Is Not] Current, Expired, I don't have passport, I don't know
- First-Generation Status (Profile) [Is] or [Is Not] Yes, No, I'm not sure, I prefer not to answer
- Traveler Type (Profile) [Is] or [Is Not] High School/Secondary, Undergraduate, Graduate, Postgraduate, Faculty, Staff, Guest, Other
- Year in School (Profile) [Is] or [Is Not] Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Graduate, Non-degree Seeking
If the Traveler Profile Field is null or missing from the Traveler Profile, the Automation will not run.
Profile Field Conditions are not available when using the Triggers for "Plan Is" or "Plan Status Changes To".
Financial Aid information can only be added to the Profile by a Traveler through Intake. Intake must be toggled on in the Organization’s Settings, and the organization must enable the Financial Aid to appear.
