What is an Automation History Log?

 

The Automations History Log provides administrators with a historical record of previously completed automations carried out by our trusty 'Via robots'. Think of this Automation History Log as a 'snapshot in time' that confirms when an Automation is completed along with helpful historical details for a specific Automation. When accessing the Automation History page for a specific Automation, admins can view...

  1. When an automation was sent
  2. The name and email of the Traveler who received the Automation's action
  3. Important details about the automation at the time it was sent and the action performed

This feature allows offices to verify critical communications and tasks that were sent to travelers as part of their automated workflows. Given the high volume of communication within an application cycle, the Automation History Log also serves as an internal check for admins to review past automations to minimize duplicative manually sent communications by admin.

Automation History Logs will show the version of an automation at the time in which it was completed. If you edit an automation, the automation history log will reflect those updates for future automations. Automation details sent in the past cannot be edited or changed.

To view the History Log for all actions completed by Application and Form-based Automation....

  1. Log in as an admin
  2. Click Builder in the main navigation menu 
  3. Click Automations
  4. Filter or Search for the desired Automation
  5. Click the History Log button 
  6. Admins will now see all details of notifications sent to travelers 
    1. For preview Mailers sent to Travelers for Application or Form-based Automations...
      1. Click on the Preview button
      2. Admins will see the Mailer sent to the traveler

    2. To view General forms added to Travelers as part of Application or Form-based Automations...
      1. Click on the Preview button 
      2. Admins will be redirected to the Traveler's Profile Program Details Page showing a list of all General forms added to Travelers.
