How do I update the Registration Status of a Via Travel Plan?

Admins can update and edit the Registration Status of a Solo or Group Plan. A Plan can have only one Registration Status at a time. Registration status in public group plans affects travelers’ ability to join the plan as well as if they’re considered going or not going. There are 4 Registration Statuses available:

  1. Open
    • Travelers can join the Group Plan
    • Admins & Group Leaders can add Travelers to the Group Plan
    • Travelers have a travel status of “Going” (unless they were removed from the Plan)
  2. Closed
    • Travelers cannot join the Group Plan
    • Admins can add Travelers to the Group Plan
    • Travelers have a travel status of “Going” (unless they were removed from the Plan)
  3. Cancelled
    • Travelers cannot join the Group Plan
    • Admins can add Travelers to the Group Plan
    • Travelers have a travel status of “Not Going”
  4. Complete
    • Travelers cannot join the Group Plan
    • Admins can add Travelers to the Group Plan
    • Travelers have a travel status of “Going” (unless they were removed from the Plan)

To update registration status from the Plan Dashboard…

  1. Click Via Travel in the main navigation menu
  2. You will land on the Plans view
  3. Select the desired plan(s) by checking the box next to the Plan name(s)
  4. Click Actions
  5. Click Update Registration Status from the dropdown
  6. Select the desired status from the dropdown
  7. Click Continue
  8. Read the prompt
  9. Click Update

To update registration status from within the Plan…

  1. Click Via Travel in the main navigation menu
  2. You will land on the Plans view
  3. Open the desired Plan by clicking the Plan name
  4. Click Edit Group Plan or Edit Solo Plan
  5. Select the desired registration status from the dropdown
  6. Click Save Plan
