How do I cancel an Event?

Admins with permission can cancel an Event or delete it altogether. When an Event is cancelled, Via sends an email to all participants that are registered for the event. The cancellation email is pictured below.

An admin can revert an Event from canceled back to Active. If an event is switched back to an Active Event State it will not notify participants that have registered to the event.

When an Event is deleted, the entire Event is deleted including any records of participants.

To cancel an Event...

  1. Click Events in the main navigation
  2. Click the name of the desired Event
  3. Click the Event Status toggle from Active to Canceled 
  4. Review the Cancelation message 
  5. Click Cancel Event
