Automation Glossary

 

Below is a list of terms that are used when editing and / or creating automations in Via.

Action: The step Via takes once a trigger has occurred and all conditions of an automation are met

Active Automation: An automation that is 'live' and currently in effect in your Via account

Automation: An action performed by Via automatically based on a certain set of triggers and conditions

Automation Type: A designation that determines the triggers and conditions available for use to build the automation.

Button Text: The copy that appears on the call to action button in a mailer

Button URL: The target destination when a mailer recipient clicks the call to action button from the mailer

Condition: The circumstances that must be true or false to determine when Via performs an automation

Forms Configured: Specific Form template(s) set up within an Automation that will deploy to traveler's profile when triggers and conditions are met

Mailer: An automated notification sent by Via to the recipient's email inbox

Subject: The line of an email that appears in the recipients list of emails in their inbox

Token: Think of a token as find and replace logic to be included in the subject or message of a mailer. For example, if using a token, Via will find the relevant Program Name and replace with the Traveler's actual program name.

Trigger: The pivotal action that sets an automation into action
