Providing up-to-date profile information is essential to determining your acceptance into a study abroad program. To help with your application process, we highly recommend filling out your traveler profile. The good news is that any profile information saved will populate on your application! Why is this awesome? Because it will take less time to complete your application and submit it to your advisors - win, win!
If you find some fields are locked and read only, this is an indication that the data are populating automatically from your student information system (SIS). If you need to update this information, please log out of Via and update the info in your SIS. Once updated, login to Via again to trigger a data sync. Note that depending on your institution, this can take up to 24 hours to update.
To fill out your traveler profile fields:
- Log in to Via
- Click on the quick action Edit Profile button or My Profile in the navigation menu on the left side of your screen
- Your profile is divided into tabs (Personal, Academic, Contact, Emergency, Passport & Visa and Preferences & Goals)
- Click on the desired tab and edit fields as necessary
- After completing the fields, click Save
Pro-tip: Make sure to fill out your profile first and last name for the best experience!
